TEAM GOH to Field Single-Car Entry in 2026 SUPER FORMULA with Toyota Engine — Charlie Wurz to Take Part in Suzuka Joint Test from 10–12 December
Gotemba, Japan (Friday, 5 December 2025) —TEAM GOH (Representative: Kazuhiro Ikeda) is pleased to announce its return to the All-Japan Super Formula Championship (SUPER FORMULA, hereafter “SF”) for the 2026 season. The team will compete with a single-car entry powered by the Toyota “TOYOTA/TRD01F” engine, developed by TGR-D (TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Development).
Since its founding, TEAM GOH has upheld the philosophy of “ racing on the world stage for victory.” In line with this vision, the team will utilize SF as a crucial platform to develop drivers capable of progressing to the highest levels of global motorsport.
SF is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading human-performance motorsport categories. Drivers compete in extremely equal machinery, with minimal performance differences between cars, making the series a true test of driving talent. The championship is renowned for its speed—second only to Formula 1—and has consistently produced drivers who have advanced to the top tiers of international motorsport. As SF continues to gain global recognition as an important category for driver development, TEAM GOH aims not only to nurture emerging talent but also to contribute to enhancing the international value and reputation of the series itself.
TEAM GOH will participate in the official joint test at Suzuka Circuit from 10 to 12 December, where Charlie Wurz will join the team’s testing programme. Wurz, who completed his second FIA Formula 3 season in 2025, is among a growing number of talented European drivers exploring opportunities in Japan’s premier single-seater category.
TEAM GOH previously competed in SF in 2022 with a two-car effort under the Honda banner, fielding two rookie drivers—one of whom was part of a joint Honda–Red Bull driver development initiative. Building on this valuable experience, the team moves forward with renewed ambition ahead of its 2026 SF campaign.
The full team structure, including the official driver for the 2026 season, will be announced following the conclusion of the joint test.
